RACHAEL KANTARIS

Rachel lives and works in St Ives and lives with her baby daughter, Isobel. She is an acclaimed etcher and has been producing new work since she achieved an MA in Fine Art Printmaking from Brighton University in 1992. She now supplies galleries across England and is always well represented at Printmakers Gallery. She also runs printmaking courses at the St Ives Print Workshop and teaches art workshops at Tate St Ives.

Her work can be subtle or dramatic but always adventurous - of her work, she says "…When my work is going well, it changes my whole perception of life…with etching, there's something magical when you pull the final image off the press and you've got it right…"
